A remap is highly suggested is you want to reduce fuel consumption REGARDLESS of any vehicle you drive the economy remap will provide your car with increased power and torque in the low-to-mid rev range. The increased power within this rev range ensures that less gear changes are required. With fewer gear changes, your vehicle requires less fuel and substantial fuel cost savings can be made.

An ECU re-map is not necessarily for speedsters to increase their car’s engine power but here at Hanz Autoworks we aim to improve your engine’s efficiency to provide better driveability for your daily drive.

POWER with Fuel Economy, seems unbelieveable but have a read beforehand:

Let’s say you drive a large vehicle such as a Toyota Alphard / Vellfire or Land Rover or so., you will definitely carry more loads like passengers and luggages. Having an ECU remap for your vehicle can provide better response to counter the load you are carrying and for city driving is often most helpful for your fuel economy since it’s constant stop and go.

By having better engine response / better pickup / acceleration with the loads present, the engine is not as stressed and underpowered or sluggish engine power. When engine feels heavy for a pickup it means that it is not performing efficiently due to the heavier loads thus increasing fuel consumption.

So, Fuel Economy is guaranteed (if you remain driving the same way before the ECU remapped). Having a tendency to use the extra gained performance will definitely increase in fuel consumption prior to having your ECU remapped.

-Car Modifications / Tuning Modifications Matching

If you have modification parts installed in your vehicle such as an air intake system (sports performance air filters) and a sports exhaust system, the factory default ECU can only recalibrate / adapt to a certain point to match your new parts installed. So you will not be gaining the full potential of it.

-Car modifications / Tuning Modifications Correction

Modifications such as an exhaust upgrade that removes the catalytic converter box will cause an engine check light to appear since there is one or more oxygen sensors that takes reading from the catalytic system.
