Coolant maintenance and how to maintain and prolong the lifespan of your coolant system and if you just replaced a water pump.
💢Old coolant collects sediment and debris over time which will then contaminate the entire cooling system and its components.
Water pumps have bearings in them which means it could rust then that will produce a whirring sound upon wear. This means it is time to replace the pump as the system will not run as efficient and after a period of time it will fail and no coolant is being distributed around the system causing overheating.
🚫🚫Never let your engine run without coolant, water alone is corrosive to metal parts of your engine.
✅✅Always have coolant mix in the system as coolant have anti corrosion properties and help dissipate heat faster than water.
Flush and replace coolant in due time to prevent clogging and damage to the cooling system such as water pump, thermostat, coolant passages and the radiator itself.
